Get On With Sentencing!

Being caught up all week with the political fiasco, I failed to pay attention to the "close to home" nightmare of the Kelly Ellard trial.

How much further can Canadian Justice sink? How many times are we going to allow this "person" the option of re-trial, (at the major costs to the taxpayers) when she was deigned for sentencing already? Let this poor family (The Verks) have some FINAL CLOSURE PLEASE.

Enough is enough. Canadians as a whole should stand up against the complete and total lack of recriminations against Young Offenders! Why should we expect our RCMP, our City Policing Forces, and our Crown Attorneys to stand up for the VICTIMS when all that the predators and violent offenders will ever receive (when they finally exhaust all of their appeals) is a minor "slap on the wrist?" Why would anyone want to try, after seeing the outcome time and again, of their fight for the victims to be shot down repeatedly?

For goodness sake, stand up and be counted!! If only for this one family's pain, never mind the thousands of others, tell our Country that our Young Offenders Act is absolutely wrong, and needs to be chucked out the door!! Kelly Ellard has been re-tried more times than she deserves.....she was supposed to be sentenced...GET ON WITH IT!! Let Justice be served and let BOTH families continue on with their lives. AND let Miss Ellard be made accountable for her actions, FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL!
