You know - I am getting rather tired of our local NDP candidates and their few followers bashing the liberal candidates. However, it seems to be the only thing on their platform throughout the province. They say the Liberals have done nothing but bad things since they were in office. Shame on them for creating a bursting economy with the lowest unemployment rate ever. Shame on them for lowering our taxes. Shame on them for being fiscally responsible and running the province like a business in allowing it to receive the high credit rating it now has. The NDP says nothing about HOW they would improve things - they only speak ill of their opponents.
Listen to this - YOU CAN'T SPEND WHAT YOU DON'T HAVE! The NDP candidates want to "hand out" all of this money for social programs, etc. the Liberals want to keep the economy healthy so that there is less need for social programs and "hand-outs" and more "hand-ups". By the way - how is the NDP going to pay for all of the things they say they will put back in place???? Money trees??? As for overcrowded waiting rooms in Emergency - I took my son there the other night with a possible fracture - It took less than 15 minutes to go through triage, registration and get my son into X-ray. The problem isn't there all the time, and when there is a wait - perhaps it is because some people are going there for minor things instead of to the clinics or their family doctors. I couldn't help but notice the expansion going on at KGH as well..... Hmmm.. seems the Liberals have put money into health care.
I have been so proud to live here since the Liberals have turned this province around from the economic mess and poor reputation the NDP had created through their regime. I am so happy to see trades people moving back to the province after fleeing in the 90's due to lack of work. People are enjoying the lifestyle they deserve to have. Money is being spent on a balance between programs and projects to make BC an even better place to live for all of us - not just Union-sponsored NDP candidates with commercials being paid for by union dues paid by employees that wouldn't be working here if the economic boom created by the Liberals wasn't in place.... just a thought.
