Letters to the editor
Dear Citizen of British Columbia
Jan 29, 2013 / 9:00 pm
If you’re like me, you organize your evenings to ensure you are seated before your flat screen TV between 8 and 10 p.m. each evening so you won’t miss those BC Government Action Plan commercials. You know the ones. Falling dominos and the male patient who magically transforms into a male nurse. So clever and creative. Extremely expensive and worth every cent of our hard earned BC tax dollars.
Then there are those nice Smart Meter men who visited me again last week asking if they could discuss why we continue to refuse BC Hydro’s WIRELESS Smart Meter installation on our property. I must admit, I was a little surprised to see them again after I spent $9 to send Gary Murphy at BC Hydro a registered letter informing him we would wait for the outcome of the complaint filed with BC’s Human Right’s Tribunal to make our decision regarding the WIRELESS Smart Meter Installation. I guess those two nice fellows just needed someone to talk to that day. Expensive visits and worth every cent of our hard earned BC tax dollars.
Low and behold, today I received an e-mail message with a letter from a BC Liberal MLA who now says BC citizens have a choice and we can request that WIRELESS Smart Meters be removed if they were already installed by BC Hydro. Expensive yes. A billion or more, and worth every cent of our hard earned BC tax dollars.
As a BC citizen, tax contributor, community volunteer and property owner, it’s reassuring to know that the 3 years I waited to have extensive foot surgery were well spent by our BC Government on necessities other than health care.
I invite you to continue watching our hard earned BC tax dollars being well spent tonight from 8 to 10 p.m.
