Dear Editor and Kelly Hayes:
Give me the facts, just the facts.
I, for one, was glad to see the announcement that the bridge project was getting started. I did not now that any work had begun and was wondering when the work would actually start.
I wish the news reporters would report the news and leave the editorials to the editorial columns. I find the editorializing of the news disturbing and sad. It is fine for an article in a editorial to blatantly show a political bias again so long as the media, be it web, radio, television or paper, shows the prudence to have balancing perspectives in having a variety of opinions expressed by it editorial writers. But when the news reporters begin to press political bias into their reporting this is a very disturbing incident.
Today’s “media scrum” was manufactured, it seemed solely by Kelly and another reporter, in an effort to discredit the Liberals. If someone wants to tackle the news in a political way there is ample opportunity to do that in talk shows, etc. but please give me the confidence that the news that I get is accurate so that I can make my own informed decision.
