Broke Retirement Package

Gordon Campbell broke my Retirement Package Contract!

I’m fairly ticked off at Gordon Campbell every time I go for dental work, or to my drugstore to pick up my prescriptions, I get angrier! When I retired in June of 2002 my retirement package contained 100% medical and dental coverage. In October of that year I received notice that I would now have to pay X number of dollars per month, and that my benefits were down to 70%. Then in April of the following year I received another notice that the X number of dollars which I would have to pay had been doubled! I did not factor these payments into my retirement, and now I am stuck with them, thanks to Gordon Campbell’s breaking contracts! I’m on a lot of medication and some of it is really expensive! When I retired my package contained 100% coverage for prescriptions. Well Guess what! Gordon Campbell messed that up too and now I have to pay for my medication!

I just went to the dentist today and had to pay 30% of the cost for cleaning. When I retired my package included two full cleanings per year. Since Gordon Campbell broke the contract I am only allowed one full cleaning per year, for which I pay 30%, and one scaling only, per year, for which I pay 30%. I have some fillings that need to be redone – let’s face it, when you get old things happen! However, my retirement package coverage should have taken care of this instead I have to pay over $120.00 to have TWO fillings redone! I won’t even get into the cost of my medication!

Ask me how I feel about Gordon Campbell, and what he has done to seniors’ medical and dental plans? He’s giving back a whole bunch of stuff he took away after he was elected, so that he can be re-elected. He still hasn’t’ given me back what I lost on my retirement package, when it comes to my medical and dental coverage. Gordon, you don’t fool me! I may be old but my memory is still pretty darn good! And I’m sure I’m not alone!

G.S.
