Letters to the editor

Keep sailing the Fintry Queen

To the editor:

Regarding the moving of the Fintry Queen and it's financial woes.

I suggest it be re-configured back to its historically accurate configuration, as a car and passenger ferry, and put into service in the summer season carrying passengers and tour buses across the lake from Summerland to Naramata.

It would reduce a long drive around, be a beautiful cruise and restore an authentic boat as part of the Sicamous Marine Museum in conjunction with their other historic lake boats.

Visitors from afar are looking to experience the genuine thing not a phony reproduction which is seldom done correctly.
