Gas prices still giving gas

To the editor:

On a recent trip to Vancouver I noticed regular unleaded at 133.9 per litre.

That is the price paid by motorists living within the GVRD and includes at least twelve cents in Transit Tax.

Outside the GVRD, I noticed the same grade priced at 122.9 per litre or eleven cents less than within the GVRD.

The motorists in the Okanagan have no Transit Tax. Those extra monies are going directly into the fat wallets of the oil companies.

Of course the oil companies will blame it on delivery costs or some other smoke and mirrors.

The simple fact is that the oil companies are ripping off Okanagan drivers.
