Letters to the editor
Pleased with proclamation |

To the editor:
Life is precious. I am very pleased that Walter Grey and City Council did not rescind the proclamation “Protect Human Life Week”.
People still have their choice but does that mean we can’t celebrate human life.
All human life, both young and old, strong and disabled, smart or less advanced, healthy or sick is precious and should be valued and appreciated.
I am a mother of seven amazing children and have five beautiful grandchildren, one of which is very handicapped and confined to her bed or a wheelchair.
I have experienced the sorrow of losing one of our grandchildren who lived only one week due to illness.
But these experiences, as difficult as they have been, have enriched my life.
I have an aging mother in her 80’s that does not move as quickly as she once did but nonetheless, she is an important part of my life.
So, throw insults at me if you must but I for one, add my support behind “Protect Human Life Week” as all life is precious.
