Speeding and the price of fuel

To the editor:

I drive the highway to college everyday.

I can't take the bus because of time constraints and I can't ride my bike it's much too far.

So I drive and I hit cruise control at 90.

I can't afford to go faster and I watch my braking and accelerating in town.  If gas prices go up I may have to skip some classes.

I'm jealous of all the people passing me at 110, if only they could share their excess money or gas with me.

I catch up to most of them at the lights at Tim Hortons, and wonder how they can afford to waste all that fuel?

Or how the big companies, who shall remain nameless, speeding down the highway burning fuel affects my bottom line for their services?

You're right, it's hopeless.

If the price actually made people slow down to conserve fuel, fuel might become cheaper.

So thanks for keeping my fuel prices high. I'll be doing 80 on the highway.
