Canada has long been held as a place in digital world that got it right
(well for the most part) for copyright laws. But our current Heritage
Minister Liza Frulla who succeeded Sheila Copps, is looking to change
all that.
In conjunction with the Ministers of Industry, they are looking to overhaul the Canadian copyright laws. So that the laws may more closely mirror the USA, a place were copyrights do much more harm than they do good. As well as stifling Science and Innovation. But in the end I suppose it all boils down to the almighty dollar.
But of course they are attempting to downplay these massive changes to
our copyright laws, and even cover up some parts.
