Evacuees say thank you

To the editor:

We would like to thank the residence of Summerland for the amazing response to the evacuees of Peachland.

We reported to the Arena and were welcomed and dealt with in such a welcoming and efficient manner.

What a testament to all the volunteers who were present and knew exactly what do and where to send us.

We are now back in our home and revel at the efficiency of all the volunteers, fire departments, RCMP and pilots for the dedication and time they put into keeping this fire under control.
