The fact is that every breed of dog is vicious by nature. I can fully guarantee that every attack by any breed is owner accountable, and preventable.

As an owner of two Rottweilers, I come under scrutiny and even have people cross the road to avoid me when walking the dogs.

I fully understand this as some breeds look more threatening than others.

To any dog, size does not matter.

An aggressive dog is just that, regardless of breed or size. We coexist with dogs and don't even come close to understanding them.

To say "all pitbulls are dangerous" is completely ignorant. Every dog (even Yorkies and Westies) have it in them.

We as owners have to be more aware of dog behaviour and some of the warning signs to prevent an incident.

Some people just should not have a dog.

Responsible dog owners are getting a bad rap and dogs are being destroyed unnecessarily.
