Turning concern

To the editor:

I wonder if anyone else has ever wondered and tried to figure out the traffic light on Leckie and Springfield Rd.

What amazes me is the way this light operates.

You get an arrow for a short time when turning west off Springfield onto Leckie.

Then the turn-light turns red and the green going straight through lasts forever, but you can't turn because you got a red light.

Couldn't that turn signal change to a solid green just like on lots of other intersections?

Sometimes the light for all traffic will turn red and immediately turn green again, weird.

Maybe there is a reason for all of this, but I'd like someone to explain it to me.

I have never seen anything like it.

Talk about getting traffic moving.
