On behalf of the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce and the local business community, I would like to express our deep sorrow for the recent loss of four members of the RCMP in Mayerthorpe, Alberta. We offer our prayers and heartfelt sympathy to the families and friends of these brave young men.
This tragedy reminds us of the risks that the RCMP face on a daily basis and the sacrifices its members make for the safety of all citizens. We want to take this opportunity to thank our local RCMP for the dedicated service they provide to our community. We would also encourage Kelowna residents to show their support for our police force in its efforts to protect us and keep our community safe.
Safety and security continue to be top priorities for the Kelowna Chamber. We offer our ongoing support to the RCMP in its mandate to make Kelowna a safer and more secure place to live and work.
Sincerely,
David MacLean
President
