Letters to the editor

Merging still an issue

To the editor:

To all the motorists heading south on Hwy 97 driving in the right hand lane, please be a little more courteous to the drivers trying the merge when coming off the new overpass on the Westside.

It is a really dicey section with the curving road, even if you are going the speed limit.

I realize we all want to get home after work, but causing an accident won’t get anyone home sooner.

I predict this is going to get worse after the new cinema opens, especially with matinees that could run in the summer.

There is very little merge lane, so looking ahead and checking the off ramp with patience is greatly appreciated.
