My View On War

DS...so my letter offended you did it? Well, take off your rose colored glasses and face the facts. Sure a lot of people were "pissed off" with America. War is not a pretty thing. But it takes a LEADER to step up to the plate, take the bull by the horns....even though it's unpopular...... and do something about a horrific injustice. Would you rather have Hussein slaughtering and terrorizing his people even today ? You think it honorable to turn a blind eye to that kind of behavior? Who's "peace" are you keeping? How many more resolutions would you suggest the we ignored, while Saddam perpetuated his weapons of mass destruction....and gained strength to do more unspeakable atrocities? He's got a much more devious mind and intensions than you or I can even imagine...and wouldn't think twice to use them against us. Wake up....!! Peace keeping is one thing....ignoring peril is sheer stupidity.

Take a look at the country ( Iraq ) now and you will see that Bush's unpopular, hard decision is having a phenomenal , positive impact in that part of the world. Now, after the fact, everybody wants to step up and feed off the carcass. Bush, Blair, and a few other countries with some backbone.....had the moxie to derail a tyrant...and bring some long needed democracy to an extremely oppressed people. Where was Canada.....?? Our place in history will find us hiding under the blankets and cowing on the side of France, Germany and Russian....and not standing shoulder to shoulder with America and Britain to free the Iraqis. Lots to be proud of there ....DS. Something tells me the old veterans would be turning in their graves.

Oh, and did "ya" hear that France, Germany and Russia had their hand in the cookie jar....so naturally were opposed to any transparency that might be exposed by war. How admirable is that ???? That's who you want to be in bed with..?? Canada, Oh Canada, took the path of least resistance.....and didn't want to stick out it's neck and make an unpopular commitment to peace...thru war. That's like a doctor saying they can't remove that cancerous growth because they would have to cut you open .... and that may not be pleasant. Go figure..!!!!!! That cut is vital ..without it the cancer just spreads....! Get it..???

America is our ally, and even though Canada isn't obligated to agree with everything "American"....I can tell ya, when the rubber hits the road, we better be standing "on guard" together. We aren't living in the land of lollipops....there are nasty people out there that would love to crush American...and if they do....Canada...you'll go down with it. Three teens with a fly swatter could over take this country.....so you better be nice to big daddy who has the means and moxie to pull out the big guns when necessary. If you trust Russia, then you're scarier than I figured...... And.....a Russian Iran cocktail should have you quaking in your boots.

Martin is not a Leader....he is a Follower..a mere figure head.......one minute he's for the Defense program....then a little pressure from the French....finds him retracting his neck and hiding in his shell. I don't find that admirable...and quite frankly I find it embarrassing. How can you have any respect for a man like that? You say you want your interests to be met with regards to the missile defense program.....that's understandable....but when your interests are your "ass"... it shouldn't take you long to make a decision.

Also, where is the uproar on the UN food and sex scandals ?? You suggest we turn a blind eye to that as well? Anybody who isn't totally appalled and prepared to charge ahead with extreme repercussions...must have a vested interest in keeping quiet....!!!! And you want the likes of them, the UN, to make the decision on Iraq ???? They are padding their pockets...supporting the very people who are hell bent to destroy America and you want to put your faith in them? Oh Lord help us.
The UN needs to be immediately dismantled....as far as I'm concerned. That's another huge embarrassment.

DS....I may have offended you...and I"m sorry for that......but you frustrate the hell out of me....!!! You can take a cow pie and cover it with chocolate and call it a candy kiss if you like.....but to me it's still a cow pie....!!!! Shake your head....! Smile.....
