Cancer Society volunteer says thanks

As a volunteer of the Canadian Cancer Society I would like to thank the community of Vernon for their never ending support!

The residents of Vernon are so very supportive of the Canadian Cancer Society and I think it is important that we appreciate and understand how much the local businesses also are compassionate in their support of those who have been touched by cancer.

This is evident at the Village Green Centre, in particular at the food court with the beautiful display of fresh daffodils and also their encouragement for everyone to wear a daffodil pin for the month of April.  The pin will be available at many locations throughout Vernon.    Please show your support!

To some, the daffodil is just a flower.  To us, it is a bright and hopeful symbol of support for people living with cancer.  It says no one has to face cancer alone, and it promises we won’t give up until cancer is defeated.
