Paid well for a job well done

I believe that you should be paid well for a hard days work.

I also believe that most teachers put up with a lot and deserve to be paid accordingly. I believe pay increases should be paid to the deserving.

Most working people today do not get paid if they do not go to work, it frustrates me that every time a teacher calls in sick it costs us double for a teacher for that day.

I wonder, if a teacher does not show up for school for whatever reason then they forgo that days wages, would we save enough that we could give the teachers a raise without it costing the taxpayers money we don't have.

I would think the teachers that show up and work hard everyday would not object, and the ones that don't show up and work hard everyday will object, and they can go find a job that allows that behaviour.

After all the people that pay the bills (the taxpayers) deserve and demand more for our money.
