Is Kelowna Heartless?

I can't believe all this garbage that I am reading on Castanet recently. I
am guessing that all those who wrote the harsh anti-homeless emails came
from loving, economically secure families. All the people who are homeless
DO NOT CHOOSE to be homeless. Homelessness is just a symptom of the greater
ills within society.

Within our society, there are many holes in the social safety nets that people occasionally fall through. It is a complete joke that some of you believe that people can actually survive on minimum wage. A measure of a society is how well its members treat those less fortunate than the majority. After reading some of the atrocious letters, I wholeheartedly believe that Kelowna is becoming a terrible and heartless community.
