Land swap proves costly

Re: Land swap appraisal favours WFN.

When we consider that the Westside Interchange will be paid for in full by BC taxpayers, it is difficult to imagine that anybody owes the Westbank First Nation a single dollar let alone 698 acres in exchange for those 8 acres.

Starting a major infrastructure project without first securing the land to build it on was incomprehensible, and the individual(s) who authorized the project without that security should be removed from positions of public trust and penalized.

It would be equally irresponsible to put closure to this issue without complete and public exposure of all the details relating to this project.

No stone should be left unturned to dig up all those details, and that should include recalling former Premier Gordon Campbell to question him under oath.

As British Columbians we have the right to know.
