I am writing this in part, to try to make sense of our new federal majority landscape.
Politics in Canada has hit a new low in my opinion.
The new federal crime "bills" on the table, will be passed soon, within 100 days of legislative discussion.
The cost of these new laws, are about as transparent as a black shirt. At the same time, a $90,000 a day consulting firm is being brought in with the mandate of cutting costs.
Crime has never been lower in recent memory and filling jail cells with non violent marijuana smokers seems to be counterproductive in terms cost cutting measures.
