I'm not entirely sure I read the article "Inmates get top treatment" correctly. One particular paragraph mentions "controversial methadone program for heroin addicts". I had to re-read that paragraph, in hopes I had not read it correctly. But for some strange reason, it still reads the same, we have heroine addicts in our prison systems? Let me see if I understand this correctly, we have inmates, convicted of crimes, in high security prisons, who have access to..... illegal drugs?
How is this possible? Who supplies them the drugs? Are visitors not checked by security to ensure they do not have weapons or drugs on them? Are guards moonlighting as dealers? Is the stuff being airdropped in? How, how, how, is this possible? And if it is possible, shouldn't someone be asking some pretty darn serious questions about the security of our prisons?
