Be on the lookout for me. I am a cautious driver. I admit it. Snow and ice scare me. I creep along at a snail's pace and take the corners with too much care. Those who get stuck behind me will be frustrated and angry, being that the road conditions are so much safer 20 feet behind my bumper.
I plan to put a sign on the back of my 4x4 (that's right, I'm even cautious with 4 wheel drive) that states just how cautious I am. I think all of us types should have an ICBC sticker with a big "C." Maybe we'd get a little more respect from the "Superdrivers" (thanks, A.J.H.). Perhaps those drivers would recognize my folley and not cut in front of me when I dare to leave a good distance between myself and the vehicle in front of me.
Please forgive me, Okanagan drivers. Forgive me for keeping my kids safe, my driving record clean, and even after driving for years through prairie winters, keeping my vehicle out of the ditch.
