Just a couple of comments on the fuel prices in our area. We pay more per litre than anywhere in the interior. In the lower mainland, the motorists pay 69.9 cents per litre minus 3.5 cents a litre rebate. They also pay 12 cents per litre for the transit levy. At 83.9 in Winfield and 85.9 in Kelowna, you might say we're getting ripped off just a little.
When questions have been asked in the past, the age old answer is not enough competition. That excuse shouldn't fool anyone. Enderby with only 2 stations is always lower. Competition??? Here in Kelowna there are rebates but I guess that is not considered as any competition. Why are our elected representatives not voicing any opposition for the people that elected them. Could this have anything to do with the fuel tax??? Could it be they are not allowed to voice our concerns? They should be, they are our voice.
It would be nice to hear an honest response from someone in the Liberal Government if that's possible.
