RE:Bet the City isn't ready for snow
I would personally like to congratulate the City, the contractor and all the sub-contractors involved in getting Lakeshore Road finished before the snowfall (note the sarcasm). The planning and execution involved from the City Planners and engineers, the general contractor right down to the landscapers is astonishing. Currently the flashing road sign says: Completion December 10.
Thank God we live in Canada, where winter is usually late coming. With all the talks of La Nina, cold weather and lots of snow, one would have assumed that the powers-that-be would have ensured that the three workers supervising the one worker digging a hole in September, when the project started, would have had shovels as well. Is is just me or has the City made some incredibly thick-headed decisions this year? Maybe next year, us residents living out in the mission will get that pedestrian overpass we so desperately need.
