Dress To Be Seen
AG is so right in the letter about people crossing the icy stets in dark clothing!
Around 4:30 pm there is a young man delivering papers with a wagon that crosses High Road just before the Mountain Ave. intersection. This kid is always dressed in navy blue or black and I have almost hit him several times simply because he blends in so well that you don't see him until he's actually on the road!
If your kids are out and about in the dark, especially when the roads are icy, PLEASE see that they are not wearing black because you just can't see them!
This particular boy always seems to be crossing the road in the darkest spot, and when it's icy or raining, visibility is really limited.
I honestly fear for his safety and I hope that his family reads this letter and addresses the situation before something awful happens to him!
