RE:Four injured in Halloween stabbings
Reading this last story about the four injured during a stabbing is all pretty disturbing.
They say "Its difficult to say if people realize just how serious assaulting someone with a knife can be." Well, obviously. Our justice system isn't helping that fact either.
They are not hard enough on young offenders.
Look at the 16-year-old girl who stabbed to death another 16-year-old girl, she's out on bail free to walk about our community. And the 13-year-old boy who stabbed a 12-year-old boy in Vancouver behind a school.
Our justice system is pretty much saying its okay for young offenders to go out and assault or kill someone and get away with it.
What is our world coming to?
If you are old enough to carry and knife/weapon, and old enough to use it against someone, you are old enough to know what you are doing, and should be charged as an adult.
If you can commit and adult crime, you can do to adult time.
