RE:Barking up the wrong tree
I wonder if you have ever seen the American show called 'the Dog Whisperer,' as he would tell you that dogs and that is ALL DOGS are not born aggressive, it is the HUMAN that trains those dogs to be aggressive.
He will also say just because the dog is small (Shih-tzu ) doesn’t mean it can’t be aggressive. Everyone thinks 'awww so cute,' but in reality, a bite is a bite, doesn’t matter what kind of dog it is.
As for pitbull and bull terriers, that just so happens to be the all American family dog, for example the show “Little Rascals” had a American bull terrier as their family pet and if you take a good look at American families, you will see most have a bull terrier or pitbull as their family pet!
It makes me angry that people are so quick to blame the breed and not the owner. Maybe we should have hospitals and doctors report all dog bites and the breed to the media and you will probably find that people and other animals are being bitten by other breeds rather than pitbulls and American Bull Terriers. Including Shih-tzus.
