RE:Other dogs bite as well
To compare a Pit bull to a Shih-tzu is like comparing an alligator to a snake.
A snake bites and retreats, as does a Shih-tzu, an alligator bites, and holds on -- ripping and tearing at its prey.
Yes, other dogs do bite children and adults, at times just as maliciously, but most do not bite with the intent to kill.
I believe no other breed of dog is so determined to attack other dogs as is the Bull Terrier.
They are bred to protect and other dogs and people pose a threat to them.
Those trying to downplay their reputation are barking up the wrong tree.
Comparing Pit bulls to other dogs won't change their bad reputation, but more accountability on behalf of the owners would help us to believe they should be allowed within our society.
