A word of caution:
If you get a call from a man, claiming to represent the Children's' Emergency Rescue Fund, I suggest that you hang up.
Our phone showed "unknown caller" and the telephone number the called had used was also unknown.
I checked Google for the Children's Emergency Rescue Fund and did not find anything with that name. However there are at least two other organizations with web sites and similar names:--Haitian Children's Emergency Fund and Children's Emergency Medical Fund.
For those reasons I suggest that you tell the caller that you do not contribute to any charity on the basis of a telephone call...and hang up!
If I am wrong about this, my apologies.
But I don't think I am!
Stuart Morrison
