RE:Water and the population
Predictions about water shortages are just that. I live on acreage and we are on a well system, not the city. We watch our water carefully and find that we use just as much as our friends that are on the city system. There are five people that live on the property we water lawns, do laundry, have showers and do dishes, even wash the cars, but we don’t grow hay as that takes to much water. The worst time for water is in the middle of winter when everything freezes.
So why is it that the experts say there’s no water, when the last time (last week) I was up in the mountains quading around Beaver lake area the lakes are over full, plus there is still snow at higher elevations. Maybe some answers should be increase the cost to all users, especially the ones that make profits i.e.: golf courses, hay fields, or maybe we should just turn off the taps that head south of the boarder.
The ones that are selling us cheep apples that use our water. Time to get some real answers, I see the hay fields out in Glenmore going 24/7 even when it rains, I see more golf course being developed (like that’s really what we need) controlling the population is not the answer, controlling wasteful people and water hogs that are all about profits and maybe it’s time to get tough with the US.
