Let me begin by saying that I am 100% for free enterprise. I am employed by the most successful auto dealership in Kelowna. I fact, using retail sales figures published, we are number 1 in the province for our brand, by a long shot. I have been employed by this team for 15 years. I my opinion, in this industry it does not get any better.
In fact a lot of Kelowna dealers are high in the regional standing for their brand. All this success without opening on Sundays and Stat holidays. Amazing. Vancouver dealers are almost 24/7 all year and are less successful. Orchard Park management are completely off base with "forcing" tenants to open New Years day. Sounds like some fresh new MBA did the math and decided an extra 10 or 20 grand profit was worth taking away a family day for 100's or maybe a thousand people indirectly. Nice call.
Have a great Christmas you jerk. And all the others in the team who supported your idea. Unfortunately I will not be able to see you all there with your families as I will be tobogganing with my 2 children.
