New system will cause stress
To the editor: RE:By-law officers have new high-tech tool It made me laugh to read the denial by the City that the new $75K parking toy is not intended as a cash grab. I sincerely hope that if one of those responsible for the ever limited parking around the hospital is a patient there (or is one of their family), the staff members looking after them are concentrating on the care they are giving rather than when and how far they next have to move their vehicle. This new “big brother” tool will cause even more anxiety to those already coping with the very stressful working conditions at KGH. Not everyone lives within bicycling or walking distance (and how do you pick up children from daycare on a bicycle?) How many citations will it take to amortize the cost of this gee-whiz technology?
