As a business owner, I would have to disagree with those who are pro-union. I do believe that they served their place, but now with labor regulations, Employment Standards Act, etc, the law certainly favors the employee. I think that unions served their purpose, but should be put to rest.
They have been granted too much power for too long and I have seen them do as much harm as good. Also, thanks to political allegiances (something unions are great at) during the NDP rule of this province, gained more clout than even before through some very questionable means. I think it’s time to wave goodbye to the unions because we are already protected as employees and individuals.
