I agree with L.H., it's a bunch of crap. I think the majority of our problems in this province are that unions are so largely abused that there is no such thing as teamwork anymore let alone working for your paycheck. Don't get me wrong, there are times when a union is rarely needed. What happened to the harder you worked, the more you got paid. Nowadays it's, "I'm not getting paid extra and that's out of my job description so I won't help you."
Unions have made people lazy and they protect a lot of people that they shouldn't. There are tonnes of people out there who would fill a union job at half the wage, just to work full time and have benefits. (especially in Kelowna) The funny thing is, is that they would (God forbid) actually work. What a concept. Then again I could just be a bitter, hard working (non-unionized) individual who was brought up with old fashioned concepts about working.
