Re. Dog attacked by doe in Kelowna backyard (Castanet, Oct. 4)
It’s time to cull the deer.
The deer population is absolutely out of control. My small dog and I have been charged by a (doe) four times now, walking on our street and on paved walking paths. I now carry bear spray on our walks.
I used to look forward to our morning walks but the last five to seven years, it’s become very stressful, not to mention the cost of replacing plants they destroy.
It’s time to cull the deer when they start harassing us in our own backyards and (on) streets.
I don’t care what some may say about us moving into their territory, there’s plenty of forest and green space around Kelowna for them.
