Does anyone else find it disgusting that Professional Athletes are being paid an all time high, but yet the performance has steadily decreased as years go by. Although they have a team with a combined payroll of something around $100 Million a year, The American Dream team lost to Argentina 89-81. Doesn't that seem a little ridiculous?
And what about the NHL? The Player's Association is probably going to go on strike which will mean no hockey. Aren't the players already paid enough. Can you remember just over 10 years ago when players in the league were scoring 60+ goals a season. Now most player's are lucky to break 40 goals. Being a professional athlete should be about proving your abilities, not getting the fattest cheque.
I personally think that a cap of $1 Million a year should be put in to play so that maybe players will concentrate more on playing the game they "love" and not about money. But this is coming from a guy who actually works for his money. Oh well.
