I have to only partly agree with what G.B. has to say. I have been in the work force for twenty years and pay my E.I. every month off my cheque. If I ever need E.I., I would like to know that this source is available to me. My real issue is young men and women who are fully capable to work, using welfare to support their partying habits.
Just look at all the drug and transient problems we have. We baby the youth and do not hold them able to take care of themselves. As far as E.I. is concerned, we should start getting rebate cheques back from E.I. once we have contributed a maximum amount over a certain number of years and have never used it! Give me back my money! If I invested all that cash over the past twenty years, I could retire right now!
