The settlement awarded to a Prince George woman for a botched abortion is indicative of just how twisted and perverse our attitude toward abortion has become. Imagine, a woman getting compensated because the people she hired (with tax-payer's money) to kill her child failed to do so!
I wonder how this poor child (and her siblings) will feel when she learns that her mother tried and failed to have her killed, then demanded compensation for having to take responsibility for her actions and give life to her baby. . . not loved, that's for sure. This woman ought to have her child taken away from her and placed in a home where she will be loved, not treated like some sort of liability.
What are the chances of that child growing up feeling love and acceptance in the world? Thanks to her "mother", I would say slim to none.
It is simply amazing that men are expected to be responsible for 19 years for the children they help create through sex, but a woman is free to reject the same responsibility for the same child by having the child killed before birth, even to the point of being compensated $60,000 when something goes "wrong" and the child survives!
The Provincial Government ought to be sued for the lives it is responsible for taking with tax-funded, legal abortion, not for the ones that somehow escape the abortionists' instruments of death.
