Learn to accept differences

Re: letter writer Shari GIbbons stating it was "disheartening" that the public library hosted a drag queen story hour.

I am appalled that one would even write such a letter.

There are many people raising children in this society. I would like to express how disrespectful it is not to allow someone to be who they are without judgment from others. It is OK to be from your own religious background, but not OK to accept someone for dressing up in drag or being from the LGBTQ community?

How do you expect God to accept you for who you are if you cannot accept the fact there are people different from you?

It is wonderful to teach children there are different walks of life who may be straight, gay, or even dress in drag.

Had I known about the drag queen story hour, I would have been there with my five-year-old daughter.
