Line up and pay the man

So another federal election is upon us. The parties are all making promises that will cost the taxpayers billions of dollars, adding to the federal debt.

No one seems to be to worried about what this means to the taxpayer.

People don’t appear to give it much thought as they just consider what each candidate can do for them in the short term. I urge people to consider the long-term effect of their choice.

Every year, people ask the government to pay for this and that. The money has to come from somewhere.

We are all experiencing higher living costs in our day to day lives. Take a moment to think about the cost of all those benefits you are expecting the government to pay on your behalf. Sooner or later, it all comes out of your pocket.

Do you really want an inefficient government handling these things and later taxing you to pay for it at an amount that would be much higher than if we just paid for it outright?

We live in a nasty cycle. Every time our government increases costs to corporations, the cost of the goods and services they provide increase. It’s a no brainer.

Companies don’t run their affairs to break even or record a loss. The same can be said of governments. As their costs increase, so will their dependence on the taxpayer to pay up.
