We need an inquiry

I watched the testimony of the former attorney general. Besides being a prolific note taker, she has excellent recall for detail, and more credibility and determination than all the others put together.

If you remember Shawinigate, the Airbus and Adscam affairs, you know how politicians can stand in front of a camera and spew fiction with the same look of omnipotence and disdain for anyone who would ever doubt their Integrity.

Stephen Fuhr, our local MP, actually kept to script, and unlike others, did nothing to try and tarnish Raybould’s character, memory, or any personal words of recrimination. He was Unique.

Trudeau has shown what I’ve always held to be true – the smile lots, talk nice, and my way, or the highway
ruthlessness of his father, Pierre, with none of his Intellect.

All those ministers he appointed were “newbies” he thought he could control, but we know now, that some, or at least one, had more character, conscience, and moral compass than he ever imagined.

Now that we’ve heard from a couple of senior Liberal members, singing from the same songsheet, the rest of
the testimony, by the rest of the cast of characters, will just be a chorus.

If he goes ahead with the “deal” for SNC, his moral compass will be hard pressed, to deal with the fallout
from trade talks with China, and the U.S., and his pronouncement that “he would not interfere politically in
a justice determination” will become a focal point.

The current cast of characters on the world stage, has put our Western culture and representative democracy at greater risk, than any foreign power ever could have done.

If there was ever a need for a public inquiry, it is now.

Chuck Liebrock
