I couldn’t agree more with this letter.
There are no rules when it comes to liquor stores. On Glenmore Road, there are two liquor stores, two pubs/bars and a Wine Kitz – all within a kilometre of each other and under a kilometre from an elementary school.
How the city allowed a liquor store to open in the new complex at the bottom of Summit Road is dumbfounding and ludicrous.
Yet, the city is going to completely abuse its power when it comes to stores that sell marijuana.
This is what happens when no one comes out to vote.
