A lot of people nowadays have pets, and more than half of the housing situation spanning from Kelowna to West Kelowna and Vernon is not pet friendly.
I think something should be done about that.
For most, their pets are not only a loyal companion, but their entire life.
If someone has a support animal and cannot find housing due to the number of landlords not allowing animals, something is wrong with that picture.
I understand that they are renting their home out to you, and do not want the damage, or the extra cleaning time, but that is why renters either give a deposit, or that is the price they pay.
I think it's absolutely ridiculous that more than 80 per cent of rental availability is so limited due to "no pets."
