Justice system laughable

Does anybody else want to throw up after reading about Canada’s justice system, once again, failing someone?

I was not born in Canada, and I’m definitely not familiar with the laws of sentencing, etc.

But I’m not an idiot. I know right from wrong. I know that killing someone is wrong, I know that selling drugs is wrong. I also know that one of these things has a much bigger effect than the other.

Reading the story about Waylon Jackson's murder churned my stomach and boiled my blood. It is absolutely despicable that the killer will receive no further punishment. Oh, probation? You mean where he gets to sit at home and be with his family? And Waylon? What’s his family doing?

Children shouldn’t grow up with murdered parents knowing the killer is living it up at home with no punishment.

I am very against drugs, but why send a 20 year old to prison for years for having cocaine in his car, when the grandpa who raped his four-year-old granddaughter gets only two years in prison?

If you take someone’s life, whether you’re drunk, high, depressed, or angry, it doesn’t matter. You have destroyed a family. You have taken a parent, a brother, a sister, a daughter or son from someone for the rest of their lives.

My heart goes out to all the families that have been victims of this laughable justice system. I can only hope you find peace within each other and can forgive this country’s faults.
