City of impatient drivers

I am so disappointed in Kelowna drivers.

My daughter just got her "L" last week, so with that will come a bit of learning and, of course, slower driving.

These past seven days, I have never had my eyes more opened to the impatience and rudeness to this cities' drivers.

Heaven forbid my daughter stops a few extra seconds at a stop sign or before she turns so she can get a better perspective on when she is safe to go.

We were honked at three different times in a 15-minute period and passed illegally because she paused to make sure she felt safe before proceeding at intersections. And I am talking about a 20-30 second pause only.

The point of displaying the "L" on the back of your vehicle is so that other drivers know you are learning and you would hope they might give you a learning curve courtesy.

Apparently not in this town. We are all too busy getting where we are going to remember our manners or respect for others.

My advice: leave five or 10 minutes earlier. That way, you don't have to be an obnoxious driver, making my kid wonder what she is doing wrong by making sure she is a safe driver.
