I want to say what an awesome time we had this weekend for the first annual Gorges-Comeau Homebase Charity Slo-Pitch Tournament in support of JoeAnna's House.
It was amazing to see all the NHL players come together for such a worthy cause. They were at King's Stadium on Friday night for a signing and baseball game, and a good time was had by all, except for the the rain. I loved seeing the excited faces of all the people in the very long line to get autographs.
My mom got to meet one of her favorite players, Nathan MacKinnon, and she could not stop smiling.
A huge shout-out to all the players for supporting such a worthy cause. Joeanna's House is something that Kelowna desperatly needs and has been a long time coming.
I loved seeing Carey Price playing catcher and especially loved his choice of catcher's mitt.
Can't wait until next year.
