Won't hire beginners

When minimum wage increases to $15 an hour, most employers won’t be hiring first-time employees.

I won’t, and I don’t. I won’t hire anyone with less than five years experience.

I pay above-average wages, so I expect my employees to know what they’re doing before they walk through my door. I don’t have the time or money to train someone with no experience.

I personally think B.C. should go back to a training wage for first-time employees. I think this minimum wage raise is really going to hurt those just starting out.
