Leave buskers be

Really Kelowna? Squash another unique, charming, potentially entertaining atmosphere as you walk around our town.

I have been living here since 86 and Kelowna has turned into this bland town of shops that repeat in clusters, every couple of miles at some strip mall, boring, yawn! We tear down everything with history, memory and replace it with new, brown, plain architecture.

We have lost; Old McDonald's farm, Wet + wild water slides, the boardwalk roller skating arena, Flinstone's waterslides, Malibu race track. Not to mention people come here specifically to visit and enjoy the beaches (which we have a few but most of our waterfront is owned by homes and docks)

Let the buskers be, let them play on the streets and entertain people and be part of creating some nice atmosphere against the stark buildings that repeat. I am also a local musician and support people sharing their talent wherever. When you travel to the states, when you visit Nashville, "the music city", there is no lack of charm, history and music in the air that make the memory of your visit. The buskers put a few of those cities on the map.
