Pool needs to reopen

The only therapeutic pool in Kelowna is at the Kelowna General Hospital and the fear among the patients using it is that it will never reopen.

The pool closed for maintenance on December 23, 2017 and was supposed to open in early January, so far nothing. When we call in and ask about the progress we are told that a new part is needed and it is on order (has been on order for 1 month), where is it coming from, the moon??

As users of the pool buy monthly passes, do we get a rebate if the pool does not open again and what happens to our health?

The need apparently, is a new hydraulic pump at a cost of $5,000 to $6,000 dollars, Interior Health is apparently balking at the cost leaving 130 patients plus up in the air as what to do next. This is the only pool of its kind outside of the lower mainland.
